HP ProBook 430 G5 Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

Can anybody help me please?

My daughter has a HP ProBook 430 G5 Notebook with 4GB memory.

Decided to upgrade the memory and so bought another  4GB memory module from HP (part # 820569-001).

I followed the Maint & Service guide and did the following as recommended:-

- Updated to the latest BIOS - without any problems.

- Placed the laptop in 'Battery Safe Mode' as described in guide

- Removed the main service door and inserted the new 4GB memory module and then closed everything up.

- Plugged in the power cable and pressed the power button.

The laptop will not turn on at all, the power button will not even light up.

With the  power cable out the power button will light up, stay on for a few seconds and then the light will go off.

it looks like the laptop is somehow stuck in 'Battery Safe Mode' and will not switch on.

Has anyone experienced this? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
