Hi everyone,
My issue is just like it says on the tin... I've got an HP Probook 440 G7 not charging from HP Elite USB-C Docking Station.
I managed to get a heap of these docking stations donated to our school from a government department but I can't seem to get them to charge our laptops.
Setup:
HP Probook 440 G7
HP Elite USB-C Docking Station (Model: TPA-B01)
Power supply: 90W AC Adaptor
Tried the following:
- Installed latest drivers for this model docking station
- Updated Firmware on the dock
- Updated the BIOS on the laptop
- Tried a 'battery reset' by holding in the power button for 15-20 seconds (caps lock light came on)
- Doesn't appear to be any settings in the BIOS to enable charging via USB-C.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT:
So... it charges the laptop when the laptop is off.
Not really helpful.
Does anyone know how to get it to charge when the laptop is on?
