HP ProBook 450 G1
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi people. I have an HP ProBook 450 G1, with AMD Radeon HD 8750M. Although I had problems with it and Windows 10 since first day, things have worked out in the end until now. Yesterday Windows update pushed update to version 1809, which completely broke the Windows and had to clean install. So I did install 1809, clean. But installing the graphics card driver did not work anymore; the installation froze to death halfway through. And this happened with any driver version from AMD, even older ones. I spoke with Microsoft Support though, and apparently this laptop model is not yet compatible with Windows version 1809. So I moved back to 1703, the version I had before.

The problem is still there now, even after downgrading the Windows. I tried installing most recent drivers on BIOS, chipset, Intel graphics, etc. When I try to install the AMD graphics driver, it crahses. By default, Windows installs some driver from 19/08/2015, although there are versions released this year. I've tried the March, January and even 2 editions from late 2018 which worked before, on previous Windows builds; all of them freeze at installation 30-40%, and nothing happens even after 20 minutes. Forcing it to restart gives me the black screen, over and over again. I even tried clean install, disabling Windows Defender and Firewall: nothing. Even using Device Manager to automatically update driver did not work, it crashed.

The only thing working right now is to either disable the graphics card, or let it stay with driver from 19/08/2015 (and Catalyst version really really old). Any ideas and tips on this stupid situation? Any help is much appreciated.
