HP Recommended

I have the same problem when managing more Elitebooks 1040G3 same types and configuration

Suppot Assistant doesn`t show the same information as SDM  even not in the same time on one Notebook SA shows the Bios update available but not on the other notebool

How do this 2 tools interact. If Update a softpak by using SDM will this then also shown in the action protocol of support assistant? and vicy versa.

Which tool is the recommended one to believe the true configuration?

Another point regarding SDM is if you only download the file then it`s obviously stored in a directory called SWDownload

By Clicking on the downloaded file with the right mouse button you can als choose install Softpaq

But Then an error message occurs cannot be installed during download, even if the softpack is already downloaded??

on this pull down menu you also can choose Copy softpaq to directory??? Which directory is meant and can you then install the softpack with a mouse click of the right button?

Thanks for your support

Best regards

Tschuli
