Spectre X360 Convertible 2017 2018
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm starting a new post to record MY experiences with the breakdown and subsequent repair of my HP Spectre X360.

Machine is  15-bl101na

This was first repaired under warranty on 27th July 2018

Now I've had the additional failure which I called HP UK about on January 13 2020

Right now I've paid almost  300 GBP   (360 USD) for a repair

The repair was carried out very efficiently, and the laptop was sent back via DPD within days.    I do have some issues though and the whole experience will be written up here.

SYMPTOM:  Machine WILL NOT POWER ON

TOTALLY DEAD

Day before was working fine.

Charge light does not come on when Power Adapter is inserted.

Initial Actions:  Try Different Power Cable, then different Power Adapter - NOTHING

Try existing Power Adapter on other USBC device - worked fine

Tried to charge using 2nd USBC Adapter. - Worked for a few days, then this stopped charging, now battery totally depleted,  machine is again TOTALLY DEAD

---

i'M a UK user, buying a UK laptop, and I will further document my HP communications and  warranty details and recovery actions that were available to me here.
