HP Spectre x360 13 Battery Life and Temperature Issues

Hello there,

It's my second week of joy with my new HP Spectre x360 - I received it 23.March. However, the battery life is nowhere as promised in the product specifications here. Instead of 9 hours, the battery lasts 5 hours tops, and the latest is about 4 and a half. Additionally, the laptop is heating up quite a bit without much running on it.

I have brightness at low, I have switched resolution to 1920x1080 (right!?), and am generally not running many applications, but does not seem to help.
