this screen burn in issue has to be a hardware failure. especially for an expensive  laptop that was literally purchased exactly 1 year ago. after the year is up, i get the burn in screen. and im not the only one  on this forum with the same problem.

Issue has started occurring with my HP Spectre x360 where there are burn in images all over the screen. As this is used for drawing artwork semi-professionally, this makes it all but useless. This is an internal hardware issue as the issue does not occur when hooked up to external displays. I have seen other reports of this same issue with this model. The warranty of this laptop expired a few days ago, so this would cost upwards of $400-500 to be replaced. It is unacceptable that this is an issue for a $1800 laptop that is just over a year old with normal use. This is obviously due to faulty design or hardware and not any fault of the user.
