I've been trying to get my laptop covered somehow because the battery is swelling a lot. The trackpad no longer works and is bent outwards, so bad in fact that the laptop does not close correctly. The bottom panel is also bulging out and the laptop no longer sits flat. HP member said that I could get it repaired for about 450$. I have had this laptop for a little over a year and a half and these problems started about 3 months ago. I've been trying to handle this situation with them this whole time. I am not the only person with this problem and this should have been part of a battery recall situation because I am losing functionality of a relatively new laptop. Shouldn't be paying that much money for a repair that should not be necessary in the first place.
