2020 Spectre x360 15in
Microsoft Windows 11

My Spectre is a 2020 15in model with the i7-10750H and Nvidia GTX1650. I am having issues with the thunderbolt ports, I apologize for the lengthy post but I'm trying to be descriptive.

I have an Anker 13 in 1 Thunderbolt dock and a Caldigit 10gigabit ethernet thunderbolt adapter. Then I plug the Anker dock into one of the thunderbolt ports it will work for maybe 10-15 minutes before it starts disconnecting and reconnecting over and over until I unplug it. It also does this with the power, IE charging then not charging the laptop etc. It does this with the laptop power brick connected to the latop and without.

2nd issue is with the Caldigit ethernet adapter. It will not come up as a thunderbolt device when plugged in directly to the thunderbolt port. It comes up as a USB device though and can be ejected from the system tray. It does not show up in network connections either. Also in the thunderbolt command center it does not show up in attached or approved devices. The only way I can get it to work is if I plug it into the thunderbolt daisy chain port on the Anker dock and then it shows up as a thunderbolt device and can be used normally. That is until the dock starts disconnecting and reconnecting. So its as if devices that require power from thunderbolt don't work correctly and other work barely. So I'm thinking something is wrong with the motherboard or thunderbolt controller. I've tried these devices with the same cables on another PC and they work flawlessly.

Things I've tried:

-Updating/reinstalling BIOS

-Reinstalling windows through recovery

-updating all drivers from windows update and HP

-startup key combos, holding power button for 30 sec without power adapter attached

-same as above but with F6 and power button, and win key + B or V + power button
