Hi, I have seen posts similar to this but not with the same issue so here goes.

The web cam on my laptop does not display a picture. Everything else seems fine. The web cam shows as working properly in the Device Manager and indeed if I click on the camera app it opens fine with the app detail shown such as adjustment, switch from picture to video etc. The small light at the side of the camera on the lid is also lit when the app is open. I include a screen shot so you can see. I have had an independent computer repair shop near me take a look but he is baffled also and doesn't want to start replacing the camera before he can diagnose the problem (For example he says it may not be the camera that is at fault and it is a messy business stripping the screen bezel out and the associated risk to the screen).

Any ideas please?

Andrew
