Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

As with many other existing questions about the very poor quality of the so called HP TrueVision HD camera on my brand new 2021 15.6" laptop.

Even at the highest resolution which is only 720p the quality is horrible and there are no settings to improve it, the driver is dated 2006 and there are no updates for it available.

What gives HP?..with a name like TrueVision HD one would think it wouldn't be such poor quality.

Apparently I'm not alone in this opinion.
