HP Envy x360 & HP USB-C Travel Hub G2
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought the HP USB-C Travel Hub G2 hoping I could plug it into the USB-C port and connect a monitor to the HDMI port.

Windows does not seem to recognize the travel hub I see it under Universal Serial Bus devices with a yellow tringle and an exclamation mark, meaning something is wrong. If I look at Properties Device Status there is a long error message:
"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"
I found a firmware update for the travel hub, but since Windows does not recognize the hub there is no way to update the firmware. So I'm stuck with an expensive paper weight.
How do I get this to work, or is it just not going to work?

PS.... I had an Anker USB-C travel hub which worked perfectly for several months and then stopped working, so I assumed that the Anker was dead and bought the HP travel hub. My USB-C port seems OK since I can connect other USB-C devices to it and get them working, I know this may not be a conclusive test of the USB-C port.
