HP Recommended
Product: Zbook 17 mobile workstation (oldest version)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I ran the HP Update app and it said I don't have any updates to apply. However when I go to the drivers page for my workstation (Zbook 17) there is a long list, some of which have been applied to my PC, and others not like the the BIOS. I downloaded the service packs that were newer.

 

My questions are:

1) Why didn't HP Update find these?

2) Does the service pack EXE self install, including the one for the Bios? There is no READ.ME file. Just the message below when you click on the exe. 

3) how do I check to see if mine is an L70 family? It was on the download page for my workstation, but I'd like to double check.

This package creates files that contain an image of the System BIOS (ROM) for the supported notebook models with an L70 family ROM. This package is used to flash the System ROM on a supported notebook.
