HP ZBook 15
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

HP ZBook 15 stuck on the HP Logo screen when turning on while a KM Switch USB is plugged in.

-When it is stuck, none of keys on the build-in keyboard works, neither the external keyboard.

-Basically, you have to press the power button to shut it down. In order to fix it, I have to unplugged the KM Switch USB from the laptop, and let it boot up, then plug in the KM Switch USB.

-KM Switch USB model and make: StarTech.com (EASY KM Link Engine) You plug in one end of the KM Switch USB to one machine, and the other end goes to another machine.

-Also, when you start your machine, it prompts you to install the 'Easy KM Link Engine' software.

-I updated BIOS to the latest version on the HP website: version: 01.37 Rev.A

-In BIOS, I disabled: USB Boot, USB Charging when computer is turned off. I set the HDD as the main boot option. I turned on Fast Boot. It is set to Legacy Boot.

-Funny thing is, I have an external hard drive that is plugged in, and the laptop boots up fine with it is attached. I’m running out of ideas. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
