HP ZBook Fury 15 G7 Mobile Workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all,

I've recently got the newest ZBook Fury 15 G7 (i7-10750H CPU; 32B RAM; 1TB SSD; Quadro RTX3000, 4K touch panel...) and was very happy after waiting for almost 2 months.

But, unfortunately, after previous HP MWS I've had this one causes me most headache 😞

Namely, among other issues I've found also on forums and that I'm facing (CPU usage very high, fans throttle, to many errors in the vent viewer, etc.), mine issue is rather and totally unexpected! Namely, when working on the notebook screen, from time to time the screen simply doesn't refresh and windows that you close or minimize still can be seen on the screen like "ghosts", than I have to close the lid to refresh the panel and make them disappear?! Sometimes, the low screen flashing on color images or on light grey can be seen. I've noticed that in this case notebook uses the integrated Intel UHD graphic instead the nVidia RTX3000. What mostly scares me is the fact that this issue also happens in the BIOS!!! It also happened from the initial startup when I was choosing Windows language - I left the setting for a short phone call and when clicked next the previous and new screen overlapped, so I had to close and open the lid, to refresh it.

The panel is 4K with touch and PSR2 tech. - Panel Self Refreshing (Intel's tech. for using less CPU power and thus lower battery consumption).

Below are the example images:

I've did all the testing both in BIOS and through HP PC Windows diag. and found nothing regarding the hardware.

Everything is updated via the HP Support Assistant and Windows (ver. 20H2), incl. the BIOS (S92 Ver. 01.04.01).

In BIOS graphic card selection mode is set to Auto. I've even tried with different video memory size in BIOS (factory sett. was only 32MB).

I can understand that Windows 10 Pro has a lot of ongoing processes and together with other installed software, can cause this graphics Auto mode to confuse, but to face this issue in BIOS and from the start, scares me that the panel isn't OK 😞

Also to mention, when my notebook is docked via the HP Thunderbolt Dock G2, it goes only through nVidia RTX3000 on my HP Z27n and no issues on the external monitor.

Another interesting issue is that when it works on battery, the time left isn't shown, only %, what is very important info for me?! In the newest HP BIOS there isn't the option to check show battery time remaining, like it was earlier!

Did any one had similar issue?

I would be extremely thankful if someone can help me out, because it would be very time consuming to go to the service, wait and migrate all software and licences back to the older notebook.

Best regards to all!
