BIOS:

  • HP N81 Ver. 01.23 
  • Date: 01/30/2018

 

Motherboard:

  • HP 80D5 , KBC Version 10.73
  • Chipset: Intel Skylake-H Rev. 07
  • Southbridge: Intel IDA150 Rev. 31

Actions:

  1. Start Virtual Box guest
  2. Suspend Host system (Win 10 x64)
  3. Resum Host system (Win10 x64)

 

Expected Results:

  • VirtualBox resumes successfuly or remains suspended

Actual Results:

  • VirtualBox guest crashese (Guru Meditation) due to a VT-X error 0x00000000384d0000

 

Additional Information:

 

  • Exact error log message:

This looks like a BIOS bug...
