At my work, we are beginning to get quite a few HP ZBook Studio x360 G5.
We install the university image - which is an awkward operation, behaving in different ways each time (the current one I needed to boot from a USB stick with a PXE image, and use a USB 2.0 ethernet adapter).
Some of these machines come with a HP Thunderbolt Dock G2.
And getting these to work is a real pain.
I succeeded on two of them, but the last one seems to be immune to all my tricks (of course, I tried to do it the same way as the other two - obviously, I may have missed something).
The dock simply does not get active.
If the Thunderbolt software gets installed, it does not give the opportunity to add the dock to allowed devices).
Does anyone have experience with a way, that works every time?
(I have updated BIOS and firmware on the laptop).
