Zbook Studio G4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi. I have the Zbook studio G4 provided by my work a couple of years ago and I ended up buying the same model last year as a personal one. Anyway I noticed that that on my personal one, some of the hardware such as the touch screen is intermittent. The touch screen I don't use often so I dismissed it.

I was preparing for a Zoom call yesterday and noticed that the camera was also not functioning, as well as the inbuilt camera app not detecting the camera hardware showing an error. I did fire up zoom again and the camera did start for a couple of mins. then froze.

I have tried the hardware trouble shooters, checked for driver updates and also looked up any issues in the device manager.

While looking a few months ago with the touch screen issue not working sometimes, I noticed that if I leave the device manager running and observed it, the listing under 'Human Interface Device' for the touchscreen sometimes shows up then disappears.(Also noticed that the camera did the same).

I did read that the graphics drivers can cause some conflict, which might be the case, but after yesterdays' camera not working properly, I suspect it may be something like a loose flat cable for hardware running to the screen.

I going to try to open the bottom panel and see if there are any pinches in cable or anything out of the ordinary. I do have 4 months of warranty left on the laptop so I look into raising a ticket.

Thanks,
