Product: HP Pavilion tx2517 Entertainment Notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista

I have had this laptop for a good while and several years ago before it went to the black screen. I was turning on the laptop when the laptop started giving me fits about the screen staying "On" .  I had to continue to toggle the start switch several times before the display would stay on. So for a month or so, that became the norm on how to start my laptop until finally one day it would not start up....black screen!  Since then when I try to turn on my laptop all lights come "on" as if all is normal but nothing pops up on the screen display. The fan runs, WiFi light is "on", power display light is "on", speaker light is "on", DVD light is "on" but no scree display! ugh!!!!! Does anyone know how to fix this? Otherwise it's going in the trash or recycle! Your help is greatly appreciated. I really hope that someone out there has the solution to this problem. Thank You.
