Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm using HP Laptop (15s-dr0002TU). This is 4 months old. The camera is not working for past 15 days. it is a HP TrueVision HD camera embedded in the laptop. When I called the HP support center, they told that the issue might be because of windows update. However, I feel it is a hardware issue. Because the problem did not appear suddenly but if was gradual. Since Mar 2020, the camera started to show blurry video occasionally and  then it used to correct itself. Since May 2020, a small tap with hand on behind the screen used to correct the blurry image. but since June 2020, the camera blacked out completely. Do you think this is a software issue and can be resolved by a software update (or rolling back windows update)? or should I go for a hardware replacement? (the machine is still under warranty). Can someone please suggest?
