hp spectre x360 13-ac033dxn 6530
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have a hp spectre x360 13-ac033dx that I purchased for school a couple of years ago that has been having a persistent issue of hanging / freezing after a few minutes of use, forcing me to restart my laptop.

The hangs / freezing tend to vary and i cannot pinpoint what is the source of this problem, some days I will be able to use my laptop for hours before it starts to freeze and other days the laptop becomes unusable. I have seen posts about this problem on many other forums however, none of the solutions provided have been able to fix this issue for me.

I've tried several things including; setting my battery settting to max performance, updating all my drivers, running a system check via command prompt, turning off fast startup, diagnosing the hardrive, performing a system restore, reinstalling windows, and recently i updated my BIOS version from F.20 to F.52. None of which seemed to have worked.

There are some things i've noticed as well that seem to 'help' my laptop hang less and give me more usage, for example keeping it plugged in and not using battery power seems to help, and also not using the touchpad and instead using a bluetooth mouse.

I am desperate for a solution, this laptop is a perfect fit for my needs and would prefer to not have to replace it, thank you in advance.
