Hp 15 BS 164 TU
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I have a HP 15 BS 164 tu laptop, it has been working fine for over 2 years now, but recently few keys seems to be pressed down automatically sometimes. Initially it was the page up key; whenever I was browsing or looking at something- Suddenly the pg up gets pressed and it scrolls up and stays there. Now after about a weeks the pg up seems fine, but the Right Shift key is being pressed down automatically.  Sometimes it goes back to normal, sometimes it triggers again.

Things I have tried to fix:

  • Reinstalling touchpad and keyboard drivers
  • Uninstalling the latest windows update (The issue came to light after a windows update on the previous night AFAIK)
  • Booting to Ubuntu (The issue is there too, Right shift is pressed automatically)
  • Updating the Bios to F.68 rev A
  • running the HP support assistant for drivers and keyboard troubleshooting

I'm not sure whether this is a hardware issue, because it doesn't happen always. Sometimes they go back to normal, sometimes they trigger again.

None of them have fixed my issue, I'm having great trouble using the laptop... Please help me
