Hi, my laptop won't turning on and stopped charging. The light by the DC jack doesn't turn on anymore and the ac adapter was beeping so, I bought a new charger but had the same results.

When I test the wires with an AC voltage detector the power cords work on both, the AC adapter only works on the new one, and the wire running to the DC connector doesn't work on either.  (I tested this with a different laptops charger and the whole thing works.)

I think either both chargers and/or the DC jack  is faulty. The DC jack is slightly loose when the charger plugs in but then I'm not sure what's happening with the chargers. (Also seems wierd that both would die overnight.)

  • Should I try replacing the charger again or should I try a new DC jack first?
  • Does anyone know if the DC jack is the same for all 15-bp laptops or if I need the specific models?

(I found one just listed as 15-bp for ~£5 and another specifically 15-bp150na for ~£23)

Thank you 🙂
