If my laptop is using it's battery the CPU, under heavy workload, can heat up to max 85 degrees C and the CPU speed stays within it's specs of max 2.9 GHz.. The temperature at idle is 50 degrees C. So all seems normal. But when my battery runs low and I recharge the laptopbattery by connecting the adapter to the laptop within a flash of seconds the CPU heat speeds up to 100 degrees C and the CPU speed goes up to 3.89 GHz. If I then disconnect the adapter within the same flash of seconds the temperature drops to 70 or 80 degrees C and the CPU speed to under the 2.9 GHz.

The intern of the laptop is spic and span, no dust at all. The laptop has not been overclocked and I have the latest BIOS installed. No programs start running suddenly after the adapter is connected and the fan works without delay. The adapter is the original one and has been checked if it is working ok (and it does).

Does anyone now what causes this strange behavior?
