The answer didn't solve it for me, as the shown settings for sreen brightness just don't exist in my power plan options. Now I figured out how to do it, but I cannot post a reply to share my findings...
Short description of the solution:
Go to "control panel" and click on:
instead of "power options"
Then you click on:
Select:
Disable Display Power Saving Technology:
Hope this also works for you and you can enjoy working outdoors now!
