Product: Thundrebolt Dock G2
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I found from an old message that it is possible to disable the power button from putting a docked laptop into sleep. 

 

The answer to question was:

 

Open the advanced power settings and set Power buttons and lid -> Power button action -> Plugged in to 'Do nothing'.

How does one find and open the advanced power settings?
