HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-ac0XX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-ac0XX laptop with an Intel Thunderbolt 3 15D2 Controller and need to know how to properly update the NVM Firmware version of this Intel Thunderbolt 3 15D2 controller to the current version.

The laptop system BIOS is current at Version F.48 (11/12/2018).

The Intel Thunderbolt Software Package Version is 16.2.52.250 with

Application Version: 16.2.51.18

Service Version: 16.2.52.3

Controller Driver Version: 16.2.51.2

Thunderbolt Controll generation: Thunderbolt 3 (15D2)

Networking Driver Version: Unknown

Number of Ports: 2

Security Level: User Authorization (SL 1)

NVM Firmware Version: 9.00

PD Firmware Version: f201.13.000

External GPUs supported: Yes

We are having operating issues with external Thunderbolt 3 expansion boxes from Akitio, Sonnet, and NetStor from which these manufacturers state that we need to update the Intel Thunderbolt 3 Firmware and Software to the current versions to resolve.

However, the HP support page for our specific Laptop model does not currently list any newer Firmware and Software updates for the Intel Thunderbolt 3 controller.

There does appear to be newer versions of Thunderbolt 3 NVM firmware and software available for other certain HP models, so ho do we properly update or model to the current versions?

Please advise.

Thank you.
