Hp Omen 15-ek1000
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

A few months ago I bought the OMEN 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop PC 15-ek1000(2B1K2AV). The laptop itself performs perfectly fine. The only issue I have with it is the battery life. The battery life I can get out of this laptop is around 1.5 hours. I have seen some reviews of this laptop on the internet saying that this laptop should be able to last for at least 5 hours watching netflix or surfing the internet. However, mine is not able to do that in the slightest. Also, on the website where I bought the laptop (coolblue, a Dutch website) they stated that the battery life was estimated to be around 10 hours. I have set all settings to power saving mode, but I still can’t get more than 2 hours max of battery life. I need this laptop to last longer than that, because I have to use it for school work. Is there any way to fix this issue. Is there maybe something wrong with the battery itself, the drivers, or a certain setting that should be turned on or off to fix this issue?

Or is this just the battery life that the laptop can give me, since it has very power demanding components? I have seen some forums of other people having the same issue, where a Hp support agent responds with some kind of solution. (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Notebooks/HP-Omen-15-Battery-Drain-Issue/td-p/7461998). I don't know if this will help and I am uncomfortable with removing the battery.

Anyone know what the issue might be?
