Hp Probook 440 G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi HP community

I recently opened up my Hp Probook 440 G3 to fix the fan which was making a lot of noise after dropping the laptop on the floor. I found the reason for the noise and fixed it, but after putting it back together again it does not turn on.

The only was I'm able to have it light up in any way is to connect the power cable. This will make the power and caps lock button blink one short and one long after which they will both turn off. The dedicated wifi button stays on solid orange/red and the dedicated mute button is solid white. Nothing happens when pressing the power button. I've provided a video showing it beneath.

Update: Whenever i have the battery disconnected but power cable connected, Caps lock, power and charging lights are all blinking quite quickly.

If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know! 🙂

EDIT FIXED: Took the keyboard out and found a loose connector, secured it properly and the laptop turned on.
