Hp Probook 470 G2
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Good morning, I have a problem with the battery of my HP Probook 470 G2.

Sorry for my english, but I'm Italian and I don't speak english very well.

Basically everything started when some water fell on the bottom of the pc, causing the motherboard to break (initially the problem was only related to the ram slot, then inserting the ram in the other slot worked, but then not it worked more, that is, it did not really turn on anymore).

So, I bought a new motherboard (768401-601 HP PROBOOK 470 G2 ZPL40 / ZPL50 / ZPL70 LA-B181P i7-4510U) and I installed it to the PC.

However, once I turned on the PC I realized that the battery does not charge, even if the writing appears connected and charging).

So I tried to do the battery diagnostics through the bios and were different casiste:
- both with the battery charger attached and with the inserted battery the word "to be replaced" appeared
- only with the inserted battery appeared the writing "ok".

In any case, I tried to buy a new battery, but even with this it presents the same error.

So I tried everything:
- I have formatted the pc and reinstalled the drivers;
- I have uninstalled and installed the drivers of the battery and of the Microsoft Ac card more than once, from device management;
- I turned off the PC, disconnected the battery and the charger, kept the power button pressed for 2 minutes to remove any energy and then hung up the battery after a few hours;
- I updated the bios to version 01.47 Rev.A downloaded from the hp support site;
- I tried to replace the motherboard and reassemble it.

However, despite these tests, both the old and new batteries do not work.

The new motherboard is this: HP PROBOOK 470 G2 - ZPL40 / ZPL50 / ZPL70 LA-B181P Rev: 1.0 2014-04-25 - MO: 35885737 - SPS: 768401-601 - Date Code: 7J14C0

The old motherboard is this: HP PROBOOK 470 G2 - ZPL40 / ZPL50 / ZPL70 LA-B181P Rev: 1.0 2014-04-25 - MO: 38024309 - SPS: 807230-601 - Date Code: 7J1580

Can you help me?

Thanks so much.
