EliteBook 850 G4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

on my new brand notebook, I've tried many times, using HP Support Assistant or HP SoftPaq Dowload Manager or downloading from HP drivers website, to update Intel Wireless LAN driver, but I can't.

On the HP drivers website and also with SoftPaq, seems there's a new driver (sp79143.exe,  vers.19.40.0.3 Rev.P,  114.8 MB,  release date  7th March 2017) and if I go to check the present installed driver, I found Intel vers. 19.40.0.3 release date 15th January 2017.

So, is the installed driver the same, or have I to update it.

If I try to update (also restarting Windows 10 Pro 64 bit in Safe mode), it doesn't work. There's no error message or alert, but finishing the update procedure, after restarting (as suggested by SoftPaq), the wifi card report again the same previous driver.

The notebook is a HP EliteBook 850 G4 (product code Z2W89EA#ABZ)

Thanks a lot,

Luca
