Hello HP forum,

My notebook's keyboard stopped working, but it stopped working while the F6 Mute Button was on (i.e. it was muted), and now the notebook's speakers no longer work, the volume is up, and not muted, everywhere, the sound device is selected correctly. If I connect my speakers or my headphones to the external audio port, it works perfectly fine. The mute key is a hard-key for the built-in speakers, I tried searching the registry to find a value that could be changed but I couldn't find a directory that would be placed in. I work in IT so you can throw any kind of ideas at me, please help as this has been haunting me for almost a year now.

Thank you!

Regards,

Ricky
