HP Elitebook 840 G4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently restarted my HP Elitebook 840 G4 and it would not turn on.  The computer is plugged in, but the only thing that occurs is that the backlight for the entire keyboard glows on and off, roughly at a 5 second cycle.  This is not a small LED light signaling a code, but rather the backlight behind all keys.  The screen of the laptop remains blank.

There was no noticeable event that I could point to that would have caused this.  No dropping, no overheating, etc.

Any ideas on how it might be fixed?
