Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Yesterday, I purchased a second monitor for my HP to use at home. I figured out I can connect and use the second screen alone so the primary display is off. I have tablet mode disabled, so I can rotate the laptop in half with the keyboard facing up. Yesterday evening, all was working well. I could use the keyboard and touchpad with the second display, the primary display rotated so I can use the keyboard and touchpad.  Today, the keyboard and touchpad are unresponsive. I rotated the screen back, facing up, and noticed the "autorotate on" notification come on. The keyboard and touchpad then worked as normal. The display for the second screen works just fine, but after some trial and error, I found out that when I rotate the screen just to the point that the "autorotate on" notification comes up, the keyboard and touchpad become nonfunctional. I disconnected from the second screen, and the issue now remains when I didn't have this issue before. With the primary display on alone and I rotate so the autorotate activates, the keyboard and touchpad become nonfunctional. I can connect to the second display with the primary screen rotated up, but then I have the laptop screen in the way of the second screen.

The obvious answer seems to be to disable the autorotate feature; however, that option is not available. When I enter settings for autorotate, the button to change it to 'off' is greyed out. I cannot click it. It's also greyed out on the right handbar.

I have restarted the computer and the same issue remains. Again, tablet mode is off, and autorotate cannot be disabled. When autorotated, keyboard and touchpad become nonfunctional. Any ideas?
