I have a keyboard that will not type anything, and I hear a click noise and sometimes a beep in the PC tower when a key is pressed. I tried a different keyboard and the same thing happens. I do have the on screen keyboard but it's cumbersome. I went to Device Manager and looked at the HID Keyboard Device Properties and it says this device is working properly. I attempted to update the driver but it said the best drivers are already installed. All other types of USB devices including a dongle for a wireless mouse, USB scanner, flash drive and a wired mouse work, but not a keyboard. Any thoughts?
