Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I received this laptop as a gift. It was ordered from Amazon. I enjoyed it's performance but the installed harddrive was only 128gb. So I ordered a Samsung 970 EVO 512gb Nvme SSD. Everything worked perfectly fine for 48 hours. Even did a performance test with Passmark Performance test and saw huge performance score increase.

However, after approx 48hrs the screen went dark. Having had previous LCD screens go dark like this I looked and was able to determine that it was the backlight module that had gone dark. I've repaired these in the past, but I don't think I should need to do a repair on a laptop that is less than a week old. I was preparing to return the laptop so I un-installed the Samsung 970 EVO to reinstall the OE ssd (which is a SanDisk X600 sata m.2 128gb SSD). I thought to test the laptop and the screen worked just fine. Thinking that something was just glitchy, I reinstalled the Samsung 970 EVO, but the LCD was dark again. RE-installed the OE SSD and everything seems to be working fine.

I tried to speak with online chat support, they simply say that the devices are not compatible with each other. Thing is, it did work very well for 48 hours.and then stopped. I am not able to understand how an installed SSD is related to the LCD backlight module.

For explanation sake... I made an image of the OE SanDisk SSD and stored it on an external harddrive. I then installed the Samsung 970 EVO and applied the image to the drive. I then extended the partition to be able to utilize the additional space on my shiny new SSD. That's it, no hiccups, no bumps or errors. Upon boot up everything functioned properly. It performed exactly as you would expect a cloned/replaced harddrive to perform... only faster because it was an m.2 nvme SSD instead of a m.2 Sata drive.

Can someone please explain this to me?
