Product: HP Laptop Notebook
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Please please can someone help a novice.  I have windows 10 Home, 64 bit operating system.  4gb RAM of which 3.85 is usable, 1.60ghz processor.

 

My windows properties show that i have 853gb free on my C Drive of 914gb

i have 1.82gb free of 15.2gb on my recovery drive.

 

Taking the above into consideration and i only use my laptop for word and online studying, why is my laptop so slow.  takes ages to start, takes ages to connect to internet and to load up basic word documents with no images.

 

i would like to buy and install more ram.  can i buy anything to improve the speed?
