Left hinge broken HP Laptop 

Product: HP Laptop 17-By0xxx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-Bit)

The left hinge of the laptop is broken, and the  left corner (where the power input is) is cracked and bulging.

The laptop was not dropped nor has it fallen. When I open and close the laptop the hinge is shifting and then separating lower case from the upper case. I am not able to close and open the laptop properly or move it easily to a different location, making my laptop useless for the purpose I bought it for, travel!  The warranty is expired on this laptop since 6 monyths. Please help.

I see you are experiencing Hinge issues with the HP Laptop. It is a hardware issue on the PC. I apologize for the Inconvenience. 

 

As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now. I would request you to contact our HP Support Engineers and should be able to sort this out. HP provides repair or service options for out of warranty products as well. Hence I encourage you to contact HP support for all warranty service options.

 

Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty.
