Product: elitebook
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I bought a new laptop battery and laptop kept shutting down on battery power at 98% 

It took me ages to realise the battery critical level had somehow changed itself to 98%.  

I went to ;

Battery More power options,  change plan settings, change advanced power settings, then last option is battery, once opened you can see and change the battery critical level.

Hopefully this will help someone.
