Product: HP EliteBook 840 G3
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

At first, when plugged in the battery charge light was white. When I tried to turn it on, the power indicator turned white for about 5 seconds and then turned off and the battery indicator light flickered between white and orange several times before returning to solid white or turning off entirely. 

 

I tried reseating the battery, nope.

 

I tried removing the battery and cable and discharging remaining power in the box before replacing them both and attempting to power on, nope.

 

I tried reseating the ram cards and SSD since those were easily accessed, nope.

 

Tried letting it charge for 30 minutes, nope. Tried an hour, nope. 

 

Tried turning it on with no battery inside but plugged into the wall, nope.

 

Same symptoms every time. No whirring, no beeping. Just light on then off and flickering battery light.
