Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've been going down endless rabbit holes trying to find out why my audio is crackling through my external sound card/interface when using my recording software. Also, I tried my audio interface on a friend's 15yr old Toshiba laptop and it worked fine with exactly the same software and projects, albeit the CPU was maxed out compared to mine.. It seems there are a few people on here with HP's registering similar issues with certain drivers etc and I'm concerned I've made a mistake purchasing a HP.  I can't see that there have been any resolutions to the previous related posts.

I have 16GB RAM and i7 CPU, purchased specifically for music production and it's useless at the moment. When I run the LatencyMon software it points out certain driver latencies including driver files wdf01000.sys, dxgkrnl.sys, ntoskrnl.sys, nvlddmkm.sys, and ACPI.sys

All my drivers are up to date and running Windows 21H1

I did a full system rebuild to try and get rid of this, but no joy.

Please help.
