Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My users have been complaining that the microphone pickup on their new HP ProBook 440 G8s is highly directional. By that they mean that it works fine when you're centered and in front of the mic. But move left or right and people on the other end of Zoom meetings cannot hear you. Move back to the center of the laptop and people can then hear them as they should.

I have run diags/tests from both the HP Support Assistant, Windows Sound settings, and UEFI v8.1 diags. They all say the hardware is okay; no problems found. If this were just one user, then I'd say it was just something about their laptop. But I have several with the same complaint which makes me think this might be a design issue.

Open to suggestions on how best to investigate and resolve.
