Hey everyone,

 

My fan seems to be running more than usual and is really loud and hot, even if I have absolutely nothing open. I read that I should try to change my power settings, but when I went to the advanced settings, there is no other option in the dropdown menu besides 'balanced [Active]'. I tried to use some command prompts to restore this option but to no avail. This is a new laptop, and the option has never been available. Can anyone help with this? It's very frustrating. My laptop is an HP ENVY - 13-aq1057tu, Microsoft Windows 10 (64).
