HP Laptop 15-db0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Trying to hook up dual monitors to my laptop (using 2 identical Dell monitors). Purchased a ASUS port replicator that has a VGA and a DVI port. Hooked one monitor to the port replicator with the blue VGA cord; the other monitor hooked to the port replicator with white DVI cord. Screens work and come on. Issue after I extend the screens in the display settings, the laptop is showing as screen 1 and BOTH monitors are being identified as screen 2 - and both monitors are showing the same information. I have tried to close the laptop lid but all it does it keep the same data on screen 2 - does not convert either monitor to screen 1. When looking in the devices list, it is only showing one monitor so I believe that is at least part of the issue.

How do I get the laptop/port replicator to recognize both monitors individually and how to do I get the settings set up so that either I can have 3 separate screens (laptop, monitor 1, monitor 2) or 2 separate screens (monitor 1 and monitor 2)? Am I missing a connection somewhere, or does the laptop only allow for 1 monitor connection?

Thanks in advance for any help/guidance.
