NX6325
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hey guys,

I have an old HP Compaq NX6325 laptop with AMD Turion TL-52, serial number CNU6461H62, 2gb ram and a 640 GB hdd.

After all this time it still works, battery still keeps him alive for about 30 minutes so I want to give him a small upgrade and add a SSD instead of the regular HDD.

I've tried to install on the ssd windows XP, windows vista, windows 7, windows 8 and they all stop at the moment where you have to define the partitions.

Ive tried to initialize the SSD during the installation process using cmd but after the clean command the laptop stops to recognize the ssd and gives an I/O error.

I've made a clone of the current SO (windows 😎 on the ssd and tried to boot. It works (loads in 10 minutes or so) up to the point of showing the desktop and after that freezes.

I've tried removing the ram modules and start with just one in both slots but still the problem persists.

I've made an bios update from F0.4 to F0.7 but still the problem persists.

The ssd is working great in another laptop so he's not the problem.

Please advise on how to make the ssd work inside this ancient laptop.

Thanks
