There is an issue with my computer's network capabilities. When I click to view the list of available networks it is always empty, when I know it shouldn't be.

Going to my network connections only show one network adaptor: vEthernet (WSL) - Hyper-V Virtual Ethernet Adapter, which is permanently disabled and can't be uninstalled or enabled. I have no idea what this is.

When I plug in an ethernet cable an Ethernet adaptor pops up, but obviously, I would prefer to be able to connect to wifi.

I noticed my issue is similar to one previously posted here, but the solution which worked: this one, can't be reproduced as my power plan options do not allow for me to change these settings.

Thanks,
