Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

With a brand new USB I've found that when plugging it in I get an error stating that "You don't currently have permission to access this folder". It is brand new and just unpackaged.

I've also tried with an old one of my USB drives - I get the same message.

I'm running a Windows 10 Pro system with Defender and Bullguard - but with both off it seems they aren't the issue.

 

When I click through to Continue I see this:

But if i aim to modify the Security tabs then I cannot see them - only a "sharing" tab

I've looked at Reg entries for USBSTOR and I've looked at Device manager. Infuriating. Any ideas out there community!?
