Hello Guys,

Hope everyone is doing great.

 

My HP notebook is fairly new, just bought it a couple of days back. I bought a thin and light laptop for getting a good battery backup. Even though the HP site is claiming 10 hours of battery for video playback, but it is hardly giving 25% - 30% while running a youtube video on a chrome browser with all the background apps disabled.

Moreover, Even when I keep the machine in sleep mode with no app running, the battery is plummeting to 0% within a span of few  hours from 100%.

Today I noticed that while on sleep mode the laptop was hot. Can anyone help ?

 

I tried creating support cases, but they keep on repeating the same answer that battery performance  depends on usage.
