Chrome OS

I have an HP Chromebook from Walmart that my kids use to do some schoolwork on. My son did not like the touchpad so we bought an Onn Wireless USB Mouse for it. It worked just fine for several weeks but today he tried to use it and it won't work. The USB receiver is plugged in and the mouse is on. The red light on the bottom moves when I move my hand around, so it seems like it's sending/receiving signals. It does not work.

Steps I have tried:

  • Replace the batteries - Check
  • Try a different USB port - Check
  • Restart the Chromebook - Check
  • Hard Power off the Chromebook - Check
  • Hit the "Connect" button on the bottom of mouse before and after the USB is inserted - Check

I am not sure what is happening. Any suggestions?

Thanks!
