Can we please get the advanced BIOS settings enabled?  Pretty please!?

I have seen this question asked several times before and the answers have (frustratingly) been either "HP has tuned the system perfectly, end users may mess that up and blame us." or "That's a premium option reserved for business machines and is unavailable on gaming systems."

Both of those answers show a fundamental misunderstanding of, and disrespect towards, your gaming customers.  I have a simple reason to want access to advanced settings - I want the keyboard backlight to turn off when the screen times out.  Right now - the keyboard backlight is always on when the computer is on which is, to say the least, weird.  Accessing advanced BIOS settings would allow me to set it to time out.

So is that a premium feature?  Would it break the machine if I did that?  If the answer really is yes to either of those questions then can you please give me some other way to have the keyboard backlight timeout?   Or is having it constantly on what HP considers "perfectly tuned"
